Barba Danilo calls itself a tavern but it is a true culinary lab hidden in a quiet camp. Half of this carefully designed restaurant is around the pool, with tables surrounded by a lush garden, smartly selected music and elegant staff. The food is exciting, authentic and ingredients are not too expensive. Dishes come in interesting combinations and presentation is attractive. Barba Danilo’s cooking follows multiple directions and genres: tapas, slow food, bistro and fine dining. Playing with modern cooking techniques, they still preserve some traditions. It’s not all impeccable, but we give a thumbs up.
