Beginning the summer of 2016. Bistro Apetit entered a whole new age. One of the most competent Croatian chefs Tom Gretić took over as a chef patron, after a long career streak as head chef in several luxury hotels including Maistra’s. Tom Gretić introduced classic, impeccable cooking in Bistro Apetit, with a lot of French influences and a few touches of Zagreb bourgeois cuisine. Gretić could make Bistro Apetit one of the best restaurants in Zagreb. By first impressions, he will base the menu on top ingredients like foie gras, wild white fish and locally sourced tuna and lobster, and fresh seasonal produce. The wine list is very good, the ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic, with a lovely spacey terrace nested in the green gardens of northern part of Zagreb.
