Typical Istrian osteria has been working at this location for more than 100 years. Čendak family takes care of business for the last 20 years, trying to make Višnjan recognisable not only in the world of astronomy, which Korado Korlević had already achieved, but also in the world of gastronomy.  Locals were original patrons of Borgonja, coming for a daily glass of wine and a card game. Then Borgonja started making pizzas, to no avail. The Čendaks finally got rid of card players, acrid wines and pizza stove, made a deal with the local butcher and brought back the old fireplace. Borgonja is open year-round, their lovely terrace in summer is filled with tourists from nearby villas and country houses, but the best time to visit is in winter. Sitting by the sparkly fireplace with aged steaks, rump steaks, homemade sausages and ombolo sizzling on the open fire, is an experience equal to gazing at a newly discovered constellation.
