This innovative tavern is managed by a talented chef Lorenco Marušić. Crowds of local guests as well as happy tourists, prove he found the way to please seemingly opposed tastes in food. Da Lorenzo offers sea bass panzerotti, scallops, white polenta, cheese creme and truffles; fish al cartoccio or baked octopus arms are nicely plated. Wine list is locally focused with ten whites and ten reds from Istrian producers. It looks like this place had found a winning formula and eating there is a far greater pleasure than at the huge Umag marina restaurant across the street.
