Family restaurant owned by Željka i Renato Kovčalija on the river beach offers a beautiful view of Danube and its islands. On weekends, Dunav is full of guests that come for family lunches. It’s a place of traditional Ilok’s bourgeois cuisine with some interesting dishes like carp bacon, boneless carp stew and local clasis like zander fillet. Very popular are old school deserts such as Slavonian ‘tačkas’ with homemade plum jam and poppy seeds. The impression is unfortunately spoiled by imprecise cooking and some mediocre ingredients.
