Strategically placed in the very center of Pula next to central market, Kantina changed owners and food styles several times in its short history. At the moment it tries to attract numerous tourists who walk by its terrace. Kantina makes ordinary salads, pastas and risottos, steaks, rumpsteaks, utterly boring tagliatelle on arugula and fiorentina, as they call their big rumpsteak with bones. But, the cooking is honest. Pasta is cooked al dente, risottos are decent, meat is juicy and you can taste a good stock in their sauces (not in the white ones, of course).  Wine list promotes mostly Istrian producers. House wine is Medea for 16 euros.
