Kod Pere is one of the few deservedly legendary restaurants. The longtime owner, who died 2015, respected his guests so much that he refused to charge them according to the menu: when he felt that someone didn’t have much money, he’d charge them the lowest possible price. And he did so for decades. Since Pero Miladin died, the restaurant was taken over by his son who is slowly trying to modernize the rather outdated style of cooking, that is today still a popular restaurant in a very nice part of the city — located right under the pool and tennis courts on Šalata. The food is definitely better than it was a year or two ago, so the Truffle expects an even higher score for 2017. The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is exceptionally friendly.
