Korak is not a real restaurant, but rather an improvised inn by the winery of one of the best Croatian producers of white wine. The Korak winery and inn are a twenty-five minute drive from Zagreb, if you do not get lost in the small Plešivica roads which lead to the top of one of the Plešivica hills, where the vineyards of Velimir Korak are located. If you have luck with the weather, you will be able to eat four or five metres away from the Reisling vinyard, on a beautiful meadow with a phenomenal view. Mrs Korak cooks five or six dishes: baked duck, baked veal, a soup or two, and a few small starters. Many fans swear that the food is excellent. We do not share that euphoria, but it is true that we have never eaten badly there.
