On the road connecting Dajla and Karigador with Brtonigla, in the thick oak forrest of Fiorini village, stands La Quercia. The name means oak in Italian. Somewhat distant from the sea, this restaurant is still a place people come to for fish. There’s an explosion of freshness there: noble fish, tasty molluscs, beautiful scampi.  La Quercia is a very typical Istrian traditional restaurant managed by Božić family, mother in the kitchen, son in the room. They make their own pastas, olive oil and wine.  Sometimes La Quercia should be seen a refuge from the coast overpopulated with tourists. Unpretentious, fresh local food, friendly staff, decent ambiance.
