Lucullus nurtures creative cuisine based on Dalmatian/Mediterranean gastronomy. One of its’ pluses is definitely location in a 14th century palace. Chef Ivan Kešina-Kelly prepares traditional Hvar dishes with a creative departure from tradition. Worth noting is fish baked in a wood-fired oven, with potatoes, olives, capers, zucchini and eggplant in olive oil and white wine and lavender gnocchi served with wild boar hunted on the island… The distinctiveness of the restaurant is its carnival atmosphere, as relaxed and joyous as that in lively cafes on Hvar promenade.
