This unusual tavern sprang from a rural estate in Bracanija hill village near Brtonigla. The restaurant is managed by Morgan family, son Marko joined owners Darinka and Joško a few years ago. Everyone brought something personal to the tavern, to a great synergic effect. Morgans grow their own geese, ducks, hens, pigs, they cure their own meat and most of other ingredients are produced at the estate. In the kitchen, they treat the ingredients with great care. Morgan is famous for its krestine, cockscomb-like ravioli carefully filled with delicate rooster meat. Joško and Marko are passionate hunters, hence rabbit with black polenta as a signature dish. Wine list offers a great choice of Croatian, Italian and Slovenian wines and you can absolutely trust Markos’s recommendations.
