For almost two decades Nautika was the finest restaurant in Dubrovnik. It set the standard for serious restaurant management in Croatia, and for a long time it was the most expensive restaurant in the country. Six years ago, founder Mato Đurović decided to elevate Nautika to fine dining. He hired a young, hyper-talented Dalmatian chef Špiro Pavlić. But after a few years they’ve split an Đurović sold the restaurant. Once famous for its spectacular terrace views, Nautika today is is just a decent, expensive fish tavern. It got a mediocre rate for food because we expect much more from such a legendary place.
