Another experienced owner used to Scillas and Haribdas of restaurant business. After last tourists leave the town and apartments owners pull the curtains and double lock their doors, Valter Karlović and his Nostromo remain as the only reliable winter partner. It is the only restoran in Rabac that is open in winter, but they stand out in summer, too, with their nice choice of fresh fish, wild sea bass and dorade fillets, smoked swordfish, fresh Little Neck Clams, scampi, cod in bianco, excellent, thick scampi soup, green tagliatelle with scorpion fish or shrimps, capers and pine nuts, scampi tails on sticks, grilled mussels, all the way to vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries with mint leafs, everything at Nostromo is a creative answer to local competition that starts with octopus salad and ends with pancakes and every fish and squid come only with chard and potato.
