Located in one of the top city spots just below Dolac market, bistro Pod Zidom had opened as a wine bar focused on local producers, offering small dishes and snacks with wine.  Today they offer a real bistro food with the menu based on inexpensive seasonal ingredients from Dolac, daily dishes and a few hits like bone marrow on toast of BBQ spare ribs.  Servis is sometimes slow but they know how to make a juicy pink pork fillet and risotto. There’s a good selection of Croatian wines by the glass. However, if you’re not a Fergus Henderson fan and you don’t like offals, boudins and such, Pod Zidom don’t offer much choice. Even sliders are pork sliders.
