Old lady has no luck with the new owner. Pula’s cult restaurant Ribarska koliba founded more than 100 years ago, got a new owner 5 years ago. He transformed shabby building into a beauty – then let ignorants manage it. The first team didn’t have any vision for the restaurant. The second team organised a honey fair in the height of dorade and cuttlefish season. The following team tried their luck with big roasting bells in the courtyard. Restaurant then closed for a few months, just to start one more life, with another team. Starting May, a restaurant with a terrace hanging above the sea didn’t have a single wild fish on the menu, vitrine was full of farmed sea bass. I had excellently prepared french rack of Slavonian black pig. They told me they were just preparing a summer menu. At the end of June, the menu was still unchanged, Slavonian black pig found its home at Ribarska koliba, At least I saw wild sea bass, scorpion fish and John Dory in the vitrine.
