A great place on the way from Novigrad to Tar. Stancija Špin is a sheep farm, a cheese manufacture, a tasting room and a tavern in one. In addition to several kinds of cheese (sheep, cow, mixed, truffle…), at Špin you can taste wild game sausages, prosciutto and seafood. Cuisine is based on pastas and risottos with local seasonal ingredients like mushrooms and scampi, there are boškarin beef cheeks and tongue on the menu, as well as some daily dishes like spare ribs and cutlets with mushrooms. You won’t be swept off your feet by Špin’s cooking, but the food is good and there are perks like tasting and buying great Laguna wine, cheese and olive oil.  The wine list is not updated, all the listed wines are 2014. vintage, but luckily that doesn’t reflect Špin’s real wine choice.
