Tač once again became famous thanks to the former Prime Minister, Zoran Milanović, who had lunch there very often. Tač, however, gained its reputation fifteen years ago when their garden was one of the most attractive in the city, and with an amazing view of Medvednica. Meanwhile, urban villas have been built around Tač, and the food has become much more ambitious — but is not always justified. Some dishes are very good, like the codfish, or homemade ajvar, or lamb patties; while some are average, like the risotto with curry, and some are just strangely overpriced, like the duck confit for 240 kuna. The wine selection is not large, but is quite solid, with five or six world class bottles.
