Ulika is yet another place with traditional food. Prosciutto sliced by hand; thick soups in which you will not only taste the bone from the prosciutto, you will also find large pieces of the meat; stews which are too thick, strong and sticky (this is a compliment); homemade pasta and gnocchi; crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside Istrian meats; medallions with truffles; and calamari which bypassed the deep-fryer. And of course, the cream cakes in huge portions, which are too rich and way too caloric. But places like this simply must exist.
