As the largest winery in the region of Slavonia and Danube, Belje owns more than 650 hectares of vineyards, and they recently invested around 140 million kuna in a sensational modern winery that has a capacity of 8 million litres per year. The main Belje variety is, of course, Grasevina, but the Chardonnay they produce in very small quantities, achieves excellent results. Standouts among the red varieties are Blaufränkisch, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The luxury line Goldberg shows the full potential of Baranja red wines, while spectacular 16th century cellars of Kneževi Vinogradi are just waiting to become a massive international tourist attraction.
